Challenge
The challenge was to design 4 iconic villas on a site with constrained maximum permissible GFA above ground.
The flower-like structures, which are elevated above ground – maximize the landscape area whilst providing shade to the courtyard and landscape below.
The permissible GFA above ground required a basement solution to satisfy the client brief. The challenge was to integrate the landscape below ground whilst bringing as much light to the accommodation below. The idea of the sunken courtyard helped in achieving this goal, whilst the elevated accommodation helped in maximizing the landscape area.
This nature inspired Architecture is a great example of our innovative thinking. Biomimetic Architecture has long been a source of inspiration for our designs. Our designs are not just aesthetically pleasing but are also practical and innovative.
What is Biomimetic Architecture?
Biomimetic Architecture is an approach to the development of architecture, by understanding and replicating the unique rules that govern the laws and forms of nature. Its a way of seeking sustainable solutions from nature and incorporating them into the design of buildings.
